About Jide Okonkwo

With an international background, Jide brings a worldly (and sometimes otherworldly) perspective to the stage. Although based in the Bay Area, Jide has performed on many stages around the world, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A lover of laughter and mangoes, his sweet tooth is the perfect foil for his sharp tongue. Catch him light up the stage with his smooth & cheeky style.

Jide performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, both in 2021 & 2022. Here, he was featured on various shows including Hate ‘n’ Live, Comedy Philosophy, & opened for comedian Kate Smurthwaite (BBC).

He has also performed on stages in Nairobi, as an international feature for the comedy production houses Punchline Comedy Club Nairobi & Standup Collective, sharing the stage with the likes of Ty Ngachira.
